Archived Infant mannequins

Look at them!
My store has some that are smaller than the littlest one in this pic. It looks like some people on the way to some wintry event were just frozen in time. Then someone coated them with some shellac or something to give them a nice sheen and put them on display. My mom has the scarf the black lady one is wearing lol.
 
Bumping this to bring it back because I just heard my store is getting them in all departments, not just infants.

WHY ARE THEY GOING TO BE HEADLESS. LITERALLY WHY.

They are back this year!

And no heads are easier to dress, and cheaper to make therefore purchase in bulk.

I've seen these creepy mannequins at other retail stores & have always wondered how anyone could think these are a positive image?


It's scary for young children to see 'children' like this.

It's an especially horrifying image considering the way terrorists (ISIS) have made beheading a worldwide threat.

Maybe shoppers would prefer NOT to think of headless mannequins these days?

Oh, yup, it's ON. I mentioned it in a post prior, but not in the one with the pic for some unknown reason.
 
FYI mannequins should be rolling into most stores soon. not just baby 360, but all clothing departments. information is on workbench. FYI might be a bullseye dog mannequin in boys dept.

My store got the Spot statue at the same time we got our other mannequins
 
We got a bunch of mannequins last night. They take up so much space. The rest of the floor is super crowded now.
 
I heard that because we are getting the mannequins we will no longer be getting/using the billboard and tower signs....anyone know anything about this? The photo posted above seems to still have the billboard up behind the mannequins.
 
We are getting mannequins, yesterday one of the softlines TLs took down one of the billboards and said we don't use them anyone. It even said so in the VA.

Don't throw all of the billboards out...I had to bring one back this week since we got a new sign for it in the updated VA...We are keeping SOME billboards and towers, but most of the billboards and towers go away.
 
How are the mannequins working out for everyone? Does softlines have to change their clothes every couple of weeks? Looks like another task to be done with not nearly enough time. At least the headless mannequins go with the headless Santa we hung up at our store.
 
Yea, my TLs change them every few weeks, but sometimes they can't find the thing they're supposed to put on them so then they make substitutions and some of them are wearing horrible outfits. I think some of the bad outfits are actually wearing the right thing, though because there's a mannequin in boys girls rtw and men's wearing the same outfit... Sweatpants with a button up unbuttoned over a casual undershirt. One of the baby ones is wearing a dress with a skirt underneath it. Looks as if they were going for a petticoat look. It's weird.
