Archived Bye Bye MAX FSTL.... Hello MY TIME........

One good thing for me is the 4 hour minimum. ETL was always scheduling me 3 hour shifts. I'm sure they'll figure out how to change that.

My store is already scheduling some areas for three hour shifts on MyTime. It's amazing that they can't fix blatant errors in the scheduling because they aren't supposed to edit MyTime, but when it comes to trimming hours they somehow manage to find a way to make the change.

So ETL managed to change my 4 hour shifts to 3 after the schedule was posted and after I printed it on Friday. However, when you look up the edits, it says the last edit was Thursday morning before the schedule was posted. Posted schedule has the 4's, so I'm good if I want them. I wish she would just let Mytime do its thing.

The STL & ETLs were working on the schedule for a long time yesterday & boy, were they grumpy. They were calling people and telling them not to come in. I don't think anyone in my store likes My Time.

And watch for the NCNS cause they edited the wrong week. Those are fun too. I had three the first week, but they were never on the printed official schedule.

@hardline we don't have mytime yet, also does my request day off days get copied over to the new system?

All this talk of scheduling is interesting.

At my store the hr team does the entire schedule top to bottom. Etls have input but hr overrides them since they have zero clue how to make it work

A lot of people finally got their hours cut on the two week out, because myTime forced us to hire a lot or people...apparently my store just kept the number of people lower and gave them longer shifts. Apparently that made myTime grumpy, so now we have more people and shorter shifts.

So far mine are holding up. We'll see!

At my store we are currently hiring cashiers while none of our current cashiers even reached 20 hours and all but four of them are under 10 hours.

Totally didn't beta test this system.. overnight team is having paycheck issues.... getting scheduled on their days off because system doesn't understand the shift.. said I was over 4 hours one week and only had a schedule for 32 hours that week.. I fully expect one day to see my schedule say my shift is only 10 to midnight .. instead of 630

Yep, I have heard rumblings and a bunch of vouchers being issued, since they just didn't get paid for worked shifts.

We have had mytime for 4 weeks now. First week I got 2 days 15,5 hrs, second week 2 days 16 hrs, third week 4 days 32 hrs, next week I got one day of 5,5 hrs for the week. It is terrifying when you don't know from one week to the next if you can pay for a roof over your head, food to eat, gas money to get to work and even your health insurance premiums. I probably wouldnt have got targets insurance had I known I'd be making forty dollars a week with a 5,5 hr shift. I've worked for spot for 9 years and your telling me you only can give five hrs a week, such BS,

Mytime is going good at my store. I hated it at first because i was scheduled all cashier shifts (and i barely ever cashier) while another worker who is primarily a cashier, was scheduled all sales floor shifts. Things were kind of funky, but the next week everything went back to normal. Everyone gets a decent amount of hours, and it seems to schedule more in areas that do a lot of sales. For instance, our store is big on selling market items, so sometimes there will be 3 people scheduled in consumables. Or softlines there will be a lot of overlaps, so there can be 2-4 people on at a time, etc. It works out well at our store

No idea if the store I'm at has mytime or not. Communication is horrendous. But I am so thankful I only have through the rest of the month left.

Ok, now the schedule problems I'm hearing about are starting to make sense. How are these stores going to run on people that only work 10hrs/wk? It used to be bad a couple years ago. I remember a week we were down to 1,700 hours in payroll at my ULV store. In comparison, my Lowe's store runs 3,200-3,500ish hrs/wk in the slowest part of the winter, and we're up to around 5,500/wk right now. We still manage to contribute a hefty NBT every quarter.

Honestly this system is really what they want.. so they have a system in place where hey we have great benefits but you have to work fulltime to get them... this new system shorts everyone so you can't get those benefits unless your a leader or salary (other words company can look good but be bad)

I will say though ..I like the idea that HR has final approval.. helps cut down on that ole buddy system for hours

Any other stores prepping for or dealing with this new smart scheduling? I'm wondering how smart it actually is. As a PA should I expect my hours to be cut? I am currently getting 38/40 hours a week. I work two of the food truck days and three other days. I do all the orders myself. The only other person who knows how to order in my store is my CTL but CTL is not great at it. Our other market TMs are hit or miss for getting tasks done. I'm concerned pFresh is going to suffer because they are going to expect more for less.

So anyone dealing with this schedule system?

Everything in Target stores is already suffering. Corporate isn't going to share any concerns about work being done UNTIL they see that they have finally hit the wall & the jobs cannot be completed.

As long as they still have people who will drive themselves insane trying to meet the increasingly impossible tasks, they will continue to raise the bar until they are forced to be realistic.

Safety suffers as people scramble to accomplish goals. As long as there are no overly serious injuries, corporate will continue to push.

More & more people work during breaks so they will be seen as 'valuable' employees & pick up more hours than the 'lazy' people who refuse to work for free. ETLs will look the other way because they also want to show they got their jobs done.

Corporate cares about the stockholders. That's the bottom line.
