How do you all feel about Plano and Revision processes?

Are you able to get it all done in time? Do you include the pushing pulls in the time indicated on the adjacency calendar?

Lately, it's becoming a MISERY.

Lately it's been a mess. my store is behind 3 weeks and we have a Softlines remodel coming up in two weeks & Trim-a-tree following. IDK how my store is going to do it. we lost 3 plano team members and apparently no one in my store is cross trained to work there so a lot of times team leads are doing revisions and resetting aisles in their own areas! It's rough, but I volunteered to set alongside plano these next 3 weeks coming up to make sure everything is set!

Another thing that is holding us back is our backroom has moving aisles because we are limited on space. That makes things very very difficult! especially when you need to pull your batch but flow is still backstocking the truck and the aisle you need to get too is not available.

We are behind too. Never been bad like this before. One of the problem is enough plano team members, I believe We have only 3 actually working full time. That's 120 hours for those not good with math. The team leader is included in that number, but the problem I see is he only picks the easiest workload everyday like 3-6 hours while everyone else gets 7-10 hours. Perk to be a PTL huh?

And, some only part time. The Revisions are over 40 hours/week alone, and NO one else can help, obviously! I am pretty sure the full workload including both POG and Revs need 5-6 full timers.

The thing I am worried about is that one of these days soon I am gonna be so fed up to a point I will quit, while I don't have another job yet.

Or, I get fired by a tirade and act insubordinate because I am fed up.

Quitting would be the smarter choice between the two of course, but without another job, I seriously can't quit yet.

But fed up, I have been for a long time.

same here... we are still working on last weeks work and havent done anything for this week yet. lol my stl gave me an "opn checkbook" for payroll but everyone that is cross trained is already maxed out cause our flow team isnt staffed. i have 2 full time tm's and myself. my signing tm works plano sometimes and they took one of my plano tm's for inventory prep lol

We are always behind too. It's due part to not having enough trained team members and then they scrimp on the hours. For a 300 week, they'll give us 200. So we never have time to train people. Then this week, the STL says we can use whatever hours we need. But we don't have anyone trained. Vicious circle.

So pushing is included in the hours right?

I am always unsure about this, because sometimes the rev seem very easy the pushing seem included, to make up the time. But then, there are difficult pogs that took all the time, and pushing just seem extra.

Demerching, setting, pulling and pushing are technically included in the adjacency hours for a planogram. This sometimes is accurate and sometimes wildly untrue (see: baby food).

In addition to transitions and revisions, I am also responsible for adjacencies in softlines and saleaplanners, but I only receive presentation hours (thanks, myTime!). This is a struggle. I have worked with my ETL and the other TLS to get stuff done, so we're really only behind on the decor aisles that are still full of clearance, but the next three weeks with mannequins, christmas and over 120 salesplanners is going to be a nightmare. I don't have enough people to do all these things AND 4x4 every day.

My attitude is right now like completely "What the F*** is Target's problem in not resolving this problem RIGHT NOW? People are behind for weeks and Target do NOTHING? Is this really how this company wish to operate from now on?"

And you have all these revisions that get you to change every label with the decimals change, but nothing really changes, and hours are NOT even given to do that extra task. Totally a waste of extra time and stupid issue that Target neglected to fix for months!! (http://www.thebreakroom.org/index.php?threads/whats-up-with-the-revisions.9507/)

Obviously, it's not about firing people, see my comment in the other thread where I talked about doing the impossible, and bosses expectations being clueless/ignorant. Know only how to talk, but DON'T do the work themselves to see for themselves!

It's not that people are slow or lazy, it's moreso that bosses just don't get it in combination to not giving us good employees some needed help!

I would rather not have this job anymore, than being stressed out to death! And I hope the clueless bosses GET A CLUE!!! No job is worth killing yourself over.

lol our inventory is next week and my stl said we need to get a plan together to get plano caught up before then. i was like theres no way!. we JUST finished last weeks work and that saying finished even though theres a bunch of missing signing and stuff... so far for this week we have done 5 rev's and 1 pog lol

Hmmm, seems to be kind of a big deal all across the nation, then.

Obviously, this is not just a few stores issue. the right response should be get Planogram treated with more respect, more hours, more help. That's one way to resolve this.

Leaders want a plan, but how much are they willing to help out themselves or give up more hours to ask other people to give plano some help?

any chance of getting my fresh meat revisions done, I have meat hanging out in the meat cooler and expiring soon.

lol Qmos.. we could do them tomorrow but my boss decided he wants furniture, mens and frames and doormats done instead

This shouldn't be that challenging of a week (like 167 hours) and we're only at 55% and have one day left to get the work done. :( I'm worried the cosmetics revisions are going to be a bit pain to do.

We spent Monday catching up last week's work too...other than that I'm all caught up. I hope we can get this week to a reasonable place so we don't carry much over to next week.

If your cosmetics are anything like ours, it won't be too difficult. Of course, they totally neglected to send all the new bullnose signs for them, but that's nothing out of the ordinary.

I think it mean ultimately the corporate is doing something very wrong and need to change it. It's not my boss, my boss's boss, or my Store team leader's fault. The corporate for some reason is giving us too much work and the stores aren't prepared for it. With 200-300+ hours, it's like 5-7 employees we don't have. I wonder if the corporate send down that communication to each stores to warn of the extreme need to hire/train some new people, which I doubt they have.

My store needs more POG TMs but no one in my store wants to work it or if they do, they are slow and or would just hinder productivity. The only thing would be if we had people to transfer from other stores that have already worked on POG. We have like 400+ workload next week and we only have like 4 TMs... its ridiculous. Quit screwing us over HQ!!!!!!!

Its to the point where I was fighting to be on POG to get off the truck, and now I hate it because we are behind, cant finish workload, i think we still have like 4 or 5 week old REVs and then every EC in the store wants to change. I don't see Salesfloor TMs do a damn thing. They need to hand the SPLs back to HLs... sorry, rant over.

I did the hair accessories revision today. Online POG said it was 87% ready so I just went for it.

My fingers are killing me for trying to get all the old labels out.

I think it will take a combined effort in communicating & solving the issue from everyone to HQ

They gonna ignore it unless voice is raised higher!

Man this brings me back... So glad I got off plano and out of the store. Shame though planos fun when you're not expected to perform miracles.
