Your realistic options are a 2nd job, a cheaper place, or a roommate (I'm excluding illegal activities of course). You could try selling some things on Facebook, Nextdoor or Ebay to help temporarily. Your HR at Target might have some ideas (and maybe even some cash) for you. Tech jobs pay more...

They did 20 years ago when I started at Target. Can't say for sure if it's normal now or not, but I imagine we have plenty of applicants and turning away the few who wouldn't want, or wouldn't pass one, would not hurt our hiring.

TTODTL if the stores' scores are consistently varyingly bad Yellow, and they all go up to 100% at the same time across the board. It's not because they did something right. It's because whoever's supposed to be reporting the failures is not doing their job. Congratulatory email is not deserved...
