Service & Engagement New SCO Pilot

I enforced it, but with pretty severe leniency. I was not counting people's items. I did not care if they had 12 instead of 10. But if it was obvious that they had 20-30+ items I'd direct them to a regular checkout.

Yeah, if it was TM-only, I'd have no problem with it. My issue is that it can't be overrode, by anyone. We even had an ETL and the SD try, they can't do it either.

We matched on every day, including black friday, just not doorbuster/lightning deals. The blackout period around the holidays was done away with a few years ago and never brought back.

It wasn't the pros. This thread was made weeks ago either way though. You do realize sales last a limited duration, yes?

No, most new hires are not considered seasonal, but they do still have a 90 day probationary period during which they can be let go more easily than normal.

That hasn't been a thing in years. I think 2020 was the last year such a thing was supposed to exist.

We have two packing stations, but are Pfresh, we do 55-60 million.

I'm aware driveup is front end, but your store would need fewer fulfillment TM's if they didn't have driveups and OPU's to pick and just did SFS - that was why I asked, not because I thought Fulfillment TM's took driveups out to guests. We have 37 Fulfillment TM's currently, if we had 8 we'd be...

    Black Friday 2023

I'm so confused how this is even possible. Does your store not do driveups/OPU's? Just SFS? Super low volume?

    Black Friday 2023

Same. 4 SCO, 8 registers, but I recall hearing we do the most driveups in our district. Also 37 fulfillment TM's, still hiring apparently, 2 more since Friday.

10?! My store isn't high volume, but we have 35 Fulfillment TM's.

We have 4 SCO's as well, and we're not small format. We do have 8 checklanes though, I can't imagine having 2 this time of year.

    MEGATHREAD myDay app

Nope, though there's a very easy solution to this. Teach cashiers to NOT use sign/label error for things like this. Use missed circle, or some other option that doesn't generate a price audit task. That and....my store just never has markdown stickers to begin with. It's dumb, but my store's...

    Timeclock oddities

Math is math. Math has always been math. Nothing has changed. It has nothing to do with HR. They don't decide how long your shifts are. Math does. The same math that has existed for thousands of years.

I just fundamentally don't think the register should ever block a team lead from making a price adjustment. This also doesn't only affect price matches. It affects price adjustments of any kind, including sign/label error, missed circle, damaged item, etc. Blocking TM's is fine, but the human...

Nice to know some stores still have a signing specialist? Or not.

I've seen boxes that said ATTN STL fairly recently. It made me giggle.

    A Message For Corporate

I know corporate reads these forums, which is good in this case. I want them to read this, and to know how stupid their new price change restrictions are. Recently they added restrictions to the POS limiting what kinds of price changes you can make. The problem is that it isn't consistent, at...

Target price match guarantee- is it a sale or is it clearance?

I give them the 30% off without them bringing the items in.

I wouldn't even tell them the month, just show up unannounced.
