Archived Orientation: Are You The Only One Left?

Well, I took my leave about 2 weeks ago, and of my entire seasonal orientation team, I lasted the longest at 3.5 years with Spot. Heck, I was one of maybe 2-3 people from that seasonal year to make it past the 3 month mark.

Archived So I might have made a big mistake.

Yeah, it is weird. However, by this point, I'm just going to be more aware and alert about things. Be more assertive to pushy TMs and the like. Since HR said not to worry about it, I'm going to be more aware of my surroundings and keep an eye out just in case.

Archived Who still doesn't have a Pfresh?

I think we're the only store in my area with a pFresh.

Archived So I might have made a big mistake.

Update: I spoke with the HR ETL about the situation and s/he said not to worry about it. S/he doesn't really consider what I did "working off the clock" (since I didn't directly help a guest; like using a cash register or retrieving an item from the back room) and that it was more of an issue...

Archived So I might have made a big mistake.

As soon as possible tomorrow, I'm going to my HR (or an ETL if HR is not around) and will tell them about what happened. That I screwed up and didn't know what the hell I was thinking,

Archived So I might have made a big mistake.

Thanks for the responses. I truly hope that termination doesn't come from this. Like I said, nothing like this has happened before. Let's just hope that if management did notice, that they're merciful. Also, I have no idea why I even listened to the GS TM. Maybe it was the lack of sleep (I'm...

Archived So I might have made a big mistake.

In my 3.5 years at Spot, I have never made any mistake that has made me as worried as I am now. I'm more than willing to speak with an LOD if needed, but I need some advice for the time being. It would be TL;DR if I typed it in paragraphs, so I will put it in bullet points: I worked from 4am...

Archived How difficult is it to transfer?

Yesterday I officially made my request to transfer and applied for a position at a Spot in Cincy. HR said that they would do everything they could to try and convince the other HR to let me go through. Now we play the waiting game.

    Archived Review Grades this year...

*rant time* Well, I got my review yesterday and while I shouldn't be surprised, I am a bit disappointed. Despite trying my best, I got IE on everything except two areas. If it weren't for the jump to $9.00 an hour, I would still be under $8.00. The reasons for my getting an IE were complete...

Archived How difficult is it to transfer?

Yeah, I will admit this is a concern of mine. I don't think management really thinks too highly of me.

There's 5 in the city of Cincinnati itself. There are a couple in the surrounding areas; including Kentucky.

Archived How difficult is it to transfer?

Yep. Another reason I wish to move to Ohio (among others). However, I just want to have some form of employment while I look for better opportunities.

Columbus is a possibility as well. I'm looking into multiple factors; including cost of living. The only really bad thing is that Spot will only let you apply for one position at a time; even if you're interested in multiple areas.

Archived How difficult is it to transfer?

1.) That's good to hear; the fact that it's easy. I think the HR (at my store, anyway) is more than reliable. 2.) Already done it. There are 5 stores in the Cincinnati area, and I've been looking into Studio apartments. 3.) I've heard mixed things on this one. Some have said what you did...

Archived How difficult is it to transfer?

That's my only worry. On one hand, I don't think I'm that liked at my store. On the other hand, I've been told that I'm generally one of the more reliable workers at the store. 'Tis a double edged sword, really.

Archived How difficult is it to transfer?

Sometime within the next year, I'm strongly considering moving to Cincinnati. Even though I have friends with connections who live there, and the job market is leaps and bounds better than where I live, I would prefer to have some kind of job when I get there. As such, how difficult is it to...

Archived Do you obey the Team Lift Stickers?

If it's light enough (as in: doesn't even warrant a "team life" sticker), I will do it by myself. Otherwise, I call for help.

Archived How bad is your Pfresh?

Aside from the wasting of otherwise perfectly good food via culls, our pFresh section is actually pretty good. Better than most other departments.

MEGATHREAD $9 minimum wage starts soon!!!

So, when does this new minimum wage set in? I've read that it's supposed to happen this month, but the HR at my store told me it will arrive in May.

Archived Not Allowed to Text Other TMs?

I'm FB friends with a couple of fellow TMs, but I don't ever text either of them. We talk, sure, but never text. Even if we did, what team members do off the clock is none of Target's concern (unless it directly involves illegal activity with the stores or corporation; like stealing). Besides...
