DC here. We don't close for snow. We've had days where all but 14 TMs called out due to being snowed-in/horrific driving conditions/etc. Daily operations continued (albeit at a VERY diminished capacity). To put into perspective, our DC is usually staffed around 80-100 TMs.

DC checking in. TM retention has been a long time problem, at least in my building. Solution: Make almost of our new hires 'seasonals' so it doesn't affect actual TM retention. While most of the ones that do make it past their contract period (8 weeks, I think) do get hired to full-time status...

Not really though. We're getting in reserve (read: DC backstock) just as fast as we're moving freight out. We've even had to open up new locations just to hold the incoming freight.
