OMG! The guilt trips! If I had gotten the raise I was told I deserved and if they had left my schedule alone I wouldn't have left. BUT I AM SO HAPPY I DID!

    Archived Hasta La Vista Spot!

If you aren't scheduled for 40 hours each your last two weeks, fill in your hours using personal and vacation time. Unused vacation time is payed out, but at a higher tax rate. You just lose your sick time.

    Archived Resume

Pellinore and others looking to get out, a little advise: when asked reason for leaving, never say anything negative. A great answer is inconsistant number of hours. Anyone with bills to pay will understand this. Say it's very hard to budget when you work 40 hrs one week and 16 the next.

So today was my last day. Went on about it as any other day, helping out the 1 person scheduled in hardlines. I expected an exit interview but didn't have one. I was a team member. Is it only for team leads and above?

Had an opportunity fall in my lap, literally. I'm grabbing it with both hands and running for the hills. Learned in the interview that Target employees are generally perceived as smart and hard working. The economy in my area seems to be making a come back. For those of you looking to get out...

They let college kids at my store take LOA and work summers and breaks,if you're good they may let you do that. It depends on the store.

Costco is a great company to work for. I have a relative who workd for UPS, also a great company. There are other places you can go where your Target skills will be appreciated. Write a great resume (get help if you need it) and apply everywhere. Even another retail job would be a change a scenery.
