    Becoming a TL

Not sure, still not started. I applied for Customer Service Team Leader, HR emailed me, asked me to come in and interview for it. I then interviewed with a GM/Service Lines Leader (it was at Meijer, this is the equivalent of an ETL), they told me the position I applied for was actually already...

    Becoming an ETL

We had a new ETL-SPS recently that thought the best way to communicate was to scream at people. She screamed at multiple TL's who'd worked for the company for years within her first couple weeks. I left soon after, so not sure how many TL's she's going to drive away, but I suspect the answer...

    Becoming a TL

My store definitely had people interview with the DSD. I recently left Target, and interviewed for a TL position with another retailer. I was expecting the process to be similar to Target's, where I'd interview with a salaried manager, and then a store manager, and then a regional/district...

Any ideas on what the PG45 to ETL pay increase is looking like these days?

I'd love 4x10, actually, I'd love 3x13. I'd be thrilled to do 8 AM - 10 PM three days a week. (Yes, I know that's 14 hours, I can do math, I subtracted a hour for lunch each day.)

Question about policy on promoting to PML

My store currently has 6 TL's that promoted from TM in the same store, plus two more that recently quit.

    Call Out Accountability

Not sure how strict my store is with this, usually. But I know they certainly weren't strict with it in regards to me personally. I worked at my store twice, the first time I was certified to use the cart pusher and WAV. I am now as well, but I wasn't for the first 1-2 years of my second time...

    I wasn't allowed to interview

Most of ours are internal, for the past 4 or so years, but they were not the first time I worked at my store. I worked here 2013-2016, and then 2019-present, since 2019 almost all new TL's have been promotions from TM. But from 2013-2016 they were basically all outside hires.

    I wasn't allowed to interview

We had a TM from our store promote to ETL, but they're not an ETL in our store anymore. They went from TM to Closing TL, and then transferred to another Target nearby as a ETL-GM.

    Holiday Pay vs Premium Pay

Depends on the holiday. As a TM there are 3 holidays (I think?) that I get paid for whether I work them or not. That other post says just the two, Thanksgiving and Christmas....but I swear I've gotten it at least one other day, as I have definitely had some days where I worked 8 hours, and got...

    Team leader

Without context it's hard to know whether this makes sense. Fulfillment TL should be responsible for the orders being where they should be, and the orders being bagged properly. Holding them responsible for driveup times, etc. though doesn't make much sense, unless those times are higher due to...

Best TL position to apply for and be in?

Our previous Closing TL was promoted to a ETL at a neighboring store. They're the only internal ETL promotion I've witnessed in 7 years. As for the topic, I've applied for SETL and Fulfillment TL in the past, I think they're probably the only TL positions I'd want personally.

Day in the Life Fulfillment Ops TL

Not a fulfillment TL, but as someone who works both the front end and fulfillment on a regular basis, at least at my store, the bagging of orders needs to be a bigger focus than it is. The fulfillment team needs to bag in a way that makes the job of the driveup team easier. Out fulfillment...

    Promoting at Target

My SD is female, 3 of the store's 4 ETL's are female. 7 of 10 TL's are female, VM is female, PML is male, that's 12/17 females in total with positions that are above TM pay. Yeah, Target clearly doesn't promote women. As for leadership being unacceptable if all white/straight, I disagree. At...

Scared to speak up to SFS TL

Target pays the top performers more than the rest, just not in the way they'd like to be paid more. They get more hours, not more per hour.

    Moving up

Holy shit. My store has 4 ETL's, we had 3 until recently. I might be missing some TL's, but off the top of my head I believe we have 10 TL's.

    Covering an ETL?

This is way off. 40+(15*1.5) = 62.5 62.5*19=$1,187.5*52=$61,750 ETL's do not make less than that.

Why is a TM acting as a ETL

We have a guest advocate that typically works at the service desk that seems to think she's the ETL-SE. She's worked at the store for about three years. She's fairly competent at her job, but she's also incredibly bossy, and doesn't approve of anyone doing something differently than she thinks...

Is it better to get hired in as an intern or to get hired in as a team lead?

ETL's don't make 50-55k in my experience, they make closer to 70-80k.

Non rehirable ( trying to return to old store )

I really don't think this is a real thing. I applied to one store, was interviewed, got a rejection email. I immediately applied to another, interviewed there, and was hired.

What Is Leadership Officially Taught/Trained for Guest Complaints?

Yeah, I have used the GSTL override code once recently. It was because they paid with cash and a gift card. As soon as I saw it pro-rate their return (they paid more cash than the amount of the returned item) I immediately overrode it, didn't wait for them to ask me to, just did so, because it...
