    PP1 - 1 for 1s

holy moly, never heard of a 1030a unload but that sounds like a really interesting process. What volume are you?

Archived Team Leaders Coaching Outside Their Workcenter?

No, you are correct. Even as an exec, you can only enter PIPs for TMs in your direct org chart. What we do at my store is email the coaching to their direct TL/ETL and they copy and paste it into Workday because yes, TLs can coach any TM.

Archived Internal Promoting to Leader (ETL) - Interview Help

This is fantastic advice all around. When you go for leadership promotion interviews internally, you've basically already got it and you just need to not mess up the interview too badly. But if you incorporate this advice and have really solid stories that focus on these elements, you'll look...

    Archived Target.com guest relations calls.

Guest Relations can send the guest a gift card if they really want to, but they can't make you do anything.

    Archived Is this true?

Golden Contribution is still a thing, but you don't get any bonus from being in or running a GC store. That being said, as corny as it sounds, it does feel good being a part of that in a "it was a wild ride, but we did it" kind of way.

    Archived Is this true?

Confirming what @BleacherSeats said above. I'd love for this rumor to die, but perhaps that's being overly optimistic. The reason your leadership team is freaking out about payroll is because our leadership team is freaking out about payroll. When your DTL is on the STL conference call saying...

Archived Is hourly wage for TL position negotiable?

It depends on the HRBP. But it never hurts to try!

Archived ETL Pay (expectation vs potential reality)

55k is an average starting wage; I wouldn't take anything lower than that. That's about what I started at as an internal, and a few months into role I was bumped up about 10k.

I don't think MPM is available on Android 9.x.

    Archived Job offer process

I assume you're internal? The ETL-HR will do your offer, but only once you're placed into role. Being signed off doesn't grant you the raise; you have to wait until they place you in role, which could be anywhere from a few days to a few months.

    Archived Closing leads, Xmas week

Indeed, it's definitely an all work weekend. I know closing leads are only supposed to work M-F, but regular leaders also have to work holiday all-work weekends during the year even if it's their scheduled weekend off.

    Target tech problems

Get your STL on your side. Tell them everything, and document your reasons in as much detail as possible. Then your STL to tell their district leader that that particular mobile lead isn't welcome back in your store. If your STL is really on your side and will fight for it, this method has a...

    Archived Question about ETL Promotion?

The 18 month in role requirement is actually just a suggestion; a well-worn suggestion, but they'll make exceptions. All my promotions took place before my 18 months was up.

    Archived TL Position

No, but this is how it should work. Too often, good TMs are put in the pipeline and then promoted without having ever developed or proven their leadership skills. Then they're put into role knowing how to execute, but not how to lead execution.

    Archived TL Position

Definitely keep talking about it. Maybe not about a specific position at a specific store, but ask for projects and responsibilities to start building your leadership skills. Keep asking for these, then execute it to the best of your ability, then ask for feedback on how you're doing or how you...

Archived Question for ETLs on Vacation Hours

47.5 hours plus five 30s is a 50 hour week... In the ETL onboarding materials it says that 50 hours is a typical exec work week.

    Archived District Business Partners

There are already group positions for the positions you mentioned (Food and Bev Director, and I forget what the group VM position is called) but I doubt they'd move them down to district level because of diminishing returns. They're not really helpful positions to stores, in my experience.

    Archived New Expectations Workshop????

New expectations are focused on modernization. Engage with guests, focus on blending service and tasks, actively sell. That's what modernized core roles are shaping into, and if you don't fulfill your core roles - as with any workcenter - corrective action will follow.

Archived TLs! How much do you make an hour and how many hours do you average per week?

There's talk that the TL base will bump up with the next round of base pay increases, but no confirmation. But I think it's safe to assume that it will go up eventually.
