I thought it was ok. But what surprises me is that guests don't even want to try it. We've only sold 5-10 all week.

    Holiday Pay vs Premium Pay

Holiday pay is at your regular rate and I think it's based on your average hours. You can get up to 8 hours of holiday pay if your average hours is 40. If your average hours is 20 (half of 40), you get half of the possible 8 hours, which is 4 hours of pay. If you average 30 (three quarters of...

Any ideas on what the PG45 to ETL pay increase is looking like these days?

That's a small gap. An ETL who can manage to only work 50 hours per week ends up making only $26.92/hour to earn $70k/year. At 55 hours per week, that drops it down to $24.48/hr.

    PG45 Bonus 2023

$500. We made payroll (by a lot…), but missed sales goal. 20% comp, but about 1% below goal. The goal was too damn high.

TL base pay change and pay increases

I've spent 8 years as a Food Service TL (12 years at Target in total) and got a $1.09. I've been at or near the base pay for my entire career, despite getting a 6% raise the last 5 years. So this raise can also benefit those of us who have consistently outperformed our peers for several years...

    Promoting at Target

It’s not like Target is some glamorous job. Some of those white men might be getting jobs that have more pay and less stress.

    Starbucks Team Leaders

I don't think there is an explicit answer, but I think it just needs to be cold before you serve it. I guess the underlying question is usually this: if this new brewer dispenses at 5am and no one gets in until 7am, is it ok? The answer is almost certainly yes, it's fine. If it dispenses on it's...

What power does the SD have for off the clock events?

Will that hurt his chances of being promoted? He's being developed as a leader.

I'm losing my team and I don't know what to do.

That sucks. If your ETL wants you to fix problems, she needs to let you figure out what the problems are. She's sending you in blind, telling you to yell at your team without enough information.

I'm losing my team and I don't know what to do.

I think they’re saying that an improvement in culture will is an improvement in morale, which should help motivate the team internally and give you the ability to motivate them externally without them wanting to quit. Just to emphasize another point that other people have made - try to work...

When it stops being so entertaining.

Yessss I was wondering when the next episode would come out.

Does this hurt my chances at becoming a leader?

To tie this into your original question at the start of this thread: saying you would fire someone based on the sound of their voice is not leading in a fair or unbiased way.

Does this hurt my chances at becoming a leader?

Cool so your SD fires TLs for hanging out with their TMs. You want to be a TL and you want to keep going to parties. And you're coming to us for advice on that.

Does this hurt my chances at becoming a leader?

They are going to be fine. They aren't trying to get promoted.

Does this hurt my chances at becoming a leader?

Hahahahaha I love these threads. They never disappoint. You will never be a TL. If your previous threads weren't enough to prove that, then this one takes it over the edge. Keep posting, though. Your leaders will still string you along because 1) they don't have the balls to tell you that you...

    Starbucks Team Leaders

You should be able to get it done in about 30 minutes if you have good routines and your team is being scheduled accurately. If not, it's easy to just adjust the schedule so the barista leaves 45 minutes after close instead of 30.
