Oh man. If it was possible for me to relocate to the US, I'd pick you up on that, too. Sears is supposedly extending a hand to us up here. That's very nice of... wait... aren't they not doing so hot either?

TTOG: Most people are pretty grateful when I take the time to pull something from the backroom for them, but apparently having to grab a big-ass item from high up, unbox it, and quickly dispose of my cardboard so I can hold said big-ass items-that-you-might-not-even-want is enough to warrant...

Those plus any box that contains detergent. Worst. Boxes. Ever. That and the bagged-item-encased-in-styrofoam-that-it's-also-zap-strapped-then-put-in-a-box-within-a-box.

Never seen anyone on my store's AP team go plainclothes. They're all pretty much identifiable.

From what I know my store doesn't have a whole lot of AP hours, but I don't know much about that tbh. On-topic: If what I'm hearing is right, Canadian operations looks to be on the up-swing, but just a bit.

IIRC Black Friday is a "blackout" day for time off. You're expected to be available for it regardless of your availability. That's probably why you were scheduled.

Mine doesn't. No one even bats an eye if someone's phone goes off during a huddle or anything. I believe my store allows people to carry their phones on the premise that its their only "timepiece," (seriously. No one seems to wear watches nowadays) but that's it.

Only if you work 3+ hours while the store is closed, and only for the time that you work while the store is closed. I basically lost my shift diff. when we moved from 4 AM to 6 AM. Could be different depending on where you live though.

I just wish they'd finally figure out the instocks problem. I'm tired of seeing a bare backwall for 1-2 weeks all while watching large quantities of stuff we already have enough of roll off the truck; None of which that would fill that backwall.
