    2024 pilots / restructuring?

My ETL alluded to some changes to the reciever position that was mentioned in a district meeting. If I have to start doing fulfillment again I think I will just leave. I put in four years in FF and I will not do it again outside of a batch here or there.

    Vendor

Yep. I refused a beer vendor the other day because he brought in a bunch of stuff we didn't need. The driver didn't have a credit on the next delivery so the whole order was refused. If you don't put your foot down with some vendors they will walk all over you. Still relatively new to the role...

Ending the two-tier vs. three-tier debate once and for all

My store generally refers to them as "three tiers." Some of the long timers refer to them as "logistics carts" sometimes.

    UPS Strike

NECA and Excell each get a pallet worth of space in my backroom. Once the skid gets to six feet tall all deliveries get refused until they push some of their product. Our NECA person is a bit of a cunt so I relish the opportunity to refuse her deliveries.

Sales Floor Let's meet in the Middle; an Electronics/Tech thread

Covered a tech break the other day and had someone come up wanting to price match a TV on Target.com.au- Spent almost five minutes explaining that Target Australia is a wholly separate entity. First time that's happened in a while.

Does not scanning ESIM into the correct bin have any impact on anything?

The bin would have to be "emptied" in RevLog then reinitalized as oxidizer. I don't think there's a way to recatagorise a bin currently in use.

    Bye Bye Receivers

This will fall flat on its face. Without our receiver MIRs would go unworked, ESIM would be a dumpster fire, shit from UPS/FedEx would go unchecked in. Also lol at our market TMs correctly auditing the ADSD when the system flags it. Maybe they could get away with it in ULV stores. But anywhere...

    How are y’all’s stores?

12 pallets of softlines repacks. Trying to pack SFS is a hazardous affair, the salesfloor looks the worst it's ever been in my 16 years here. I'd say things are going great. 🙃 Oh, forgot to mention we received enough squishimals to fill up an entire fucking pod. Like, wtf RDC.

Sales Floor Let's meet in the Middle; an Electronics/Tech thread

Meh. One of the *veteran* Electronics TMs straight up sold a PS5 to another TM and didn't get fired. (The guy who bought it did, but he was supposedly on a final anyway.) You could give a clueless newbie the benefit of the doubt. Not someone that's been there for 5 years. Our entertainment is...

Least favorite department to push in?

HBA by far. That's all I pushed when I was first hired on flow team. I almost quit, but they asked me if I wanted to push electronics and entertainment and that was much less tedious. Close second would be furniture/home. Box in box in plastic in styrofoam in more plastic.

If you could restructure the target process...

I would somewhat return to pre modernization. Keep DBOs during the day to do pricing, salesplanners and instocks. Return inbound to an overnight/4am process. Resurrect the pog team. Give tech one or two TMs that do nothing but push truck during BTC/4th Q. Tell prospective HR ETLs that the job...

    WISH TIME

I wish we had more than one working RFID gun I wish they would stop scheduling me in Tech. My patience for working with stubborn boomers is near the limit.

    Logistics SFS Fulfillment (fed ex)

Depending on the driver we usually get these wax cardboar totes. Usually we dont have enough and we just tape a 280 open to toss our polymailers in We used to use repacks, but our district lead tore us a new asshole when she saw us using them.

myStore - For the myDeviceless TM

Is there any way you could temporarily bump the screen brightness up when you're on the Timeclock screen? I usually keep my brightness low and sometimes the timeclock has problems picking up the barcode. Great work btw :)

    SFS-air pillow machine

IMHO, the new zebra label printers are a godsend. Overall pack productivity went way up when we got them. Also the passcodes for the air speed machines are different for each I think. 674 and 199 for our two
