Why would power lines be strung over the entire area of the roof? There's nothing to obviously indicate live power feed is running into these lines. What is the purpose was my question.

My building has wires strung back and forth from front to back and side to side every couple of feet. What's the purpose of this? I've never seen it before and I've had a few customers ask me about it.
