Doesn't that guy know that Target is a gun-free zone? Shame on him.

Test marketing - Krispy Kreme doughnuts

Some Targets in our area have Krispy Kreme doughnut mini-kiosks placed close to the checkout lanes. A Krispy Kreme delivery driver comes early each morning, pulls whatever is left over from the previous day and puts out fresh doughnuts. These aren't cheap, a 6-pack is $12.99. Have you seen...

Target is expanding: Here’s where new stores are expected Why? Are the thousands of existing stores sufficiently resourced to deliver the Target brand promise? Are stores being properly staffed, etc.?

The entire inbound team walked out this morning.

Reflecting on what you've mentioned, it seems like your SD and ETL-HR have the following policy:

The entire inbound team walked out this morning.

Revisiting this thread: ultimately, how many of the store's inbound TMs are still employed with Target? I realize that out of caution the OP is probably avoiding discussing this online as he/she has been "outed" and rebuked for publicizing this on social media.

    20 year service reward

I think the service reward amounts were created in the 1980s and haven't been changed in a long time. Still, they are deeply appreciated.

MyTime MyTime not showing my break times for 12/24…

Most of us who have worked at Target have been "spooked" by irregular scheduling things on mytime. We become a bit paranoid when we see actions which sometimes are part of a possible job termination. Holiday season can create a lot of odd kinds of stress in this business.

    New to TBR

I'm intrigued that you had not visited or shopped at a Target store before accepting employment. There's nothing wrong with this, it's just not terribly commonplace as Target is among the largest retail store chains in the country. Most Americans have likely visited a Target at least once in...

How bad is it to use your discount for a friend?

"Is it always termination", in a literal sense, no. "Is there serious risk of termination", yes. Friends don't let friends do this.

i told my etl im not feeling well, should i call out the next day?

Yes. Use the "Call out" function on the app. Make a follow up call to the store and leave a courtesy message as well.

    SCO cash software upgrade

About 10% of guests' payments are made with cash. This might be higher in some parts of the US, lower in others. Our SCO machines theoretically can accept cash payments and provide cash back, however the current generation of machines are prone to malfunctioning with cash more than the SCO...

    Meal compliance at six hours?...

In many states, your meal must be started no later than 5.0 hours after you clock in. In some states, meal compliance is no later than 6.0 hours after you clock in. As others have said, Target prefers to be very cautious. Check the Compliance sheet posted near your time clock.

    In the news

I have learned a bit of skepticism when someone states that a co-worker "always had a bad attitude". Always means every single day, essentially all day long. It wasn't clear if she had some prior CAs. Leadership's case was well documented. The TM forgot that no matter how lowly the job or how...

The entire inbound team walked out this morning.

Funny how Target HR doesn't follow its own guidelines, and under labor law they really aren't required to. If this was your first documented discussion with the receiver, it seems like a Final CA is an extreme punishment reserved for the most serious infractions. A boss who cannot face the...

    Christmas display sale special terms?

Interesting points. Maybe Corporate didn't give much thought to the time deadlines imposed on stores for the Christmas Morning Magic transition. So in this case it seems that one store's fire sale on Christmas stuff occurred on Tuesday December 2nd, which seems really odd. What's really...

    A Visit in 2025

Interesting that no ETLs or TLs offered any thoughts on this. Some of the "Store Modernization" stuff has been quietly dropped, replaced as you said. Theoretically we still have DBOs for different sections of the store....

    Christmas display sale special terms?

I wonder who in leadership made that decision? Does your store's SD know about this? Were these items put out on the sales floor for guests at the same 90 percent off before your TLs and TMs bought up all the stuff? Ethics concerns anyone?

    Accommodations Request - Hour Reduction

You have valid concerns. Keep in mind that your eligibility for Target's health plan is based on your previous year's 52-week average weekly hours worked. Every year at the time of open enrollment (February), your eligibility is based on your previous year's figure as of the final paycheck of...
