    Pay on different shifts

We recently had an all team member meeting and at the end someone asked when we would get a raise being that we hadn't had one in 2 years. We were told that they don't see a raise coming any time soon. What I find odd though is I work B1, all the other shifts in the past year got raises in shift...

    Black Plastic Pallets

Are any other DC's out there not aloud to use the black plastic pallets? All freight that comes into our DC with those pallets is taken off and put onto the wood pallets. I remember when they first came out we were talking about going to those pallets but for some reason we are being told not to...

    EDP question...modern PO's

What is the hold up with adding modern PO's to the external damage process?? We keep getting told that it will get fixed but it's been months and no change. Basically we aren't getting credit for processing modern PO's. Is this a headquarters thing or what? Seems like someone isn't doing there job.

    Hiring Too Many Warehouse Workers

Are other DC’s seeing large amounts of new hires? Inbound alone on B1 went from 40 to 112 workers! Plans sit around 70,000 each shift because we don’t have room to store freight. On top of that, we set plans each period, if we start pacing over then they tell us to stop receiving until after...

    Exhaust Fans in Warehouse

Can someone explain why headquarters in Minneapolis is in charge of turning on and off exhaust fans in DC’s hundreds of miles away??? It’s a heat wave advisory and they are mandating the stupid masks again. How about we suck the stagnant air out instead of just blowing everything around in the DC??

    Multiple pallet bands required

We were told headquarters is now requiring that we put bands on top 3 layers as well as bottom layer of freight. Any other DC’s get this change?

Archived Working IW trailers on the dock...again

The Inbound SOM decided that we will now be working IW trailers on the dock, something we haven’t done for 14 years! It takes less than 3 hours to work these in ART, now they are putting 3 team members on an IW that will take them about a day or more to do. How is this efficient or logical? We...

    Archived Changes

So apparently is trying to make a bunch of changes to the way we operate. They started getting big on safety because we have about 25 ORI’s for the year. They made it mandatory that we wear safety glasses and gloves for starters. I’m fine with that but if your caught without wearing them, you...

Archived How many throwers do you have per line?

My DC is currently going to 1 thrower and 2 on the line. Seems ok, if you're trailer is floor loaded. However, they are doing this with palletized trailers. I believe this makes it even harder for the thrower, having to use step stools and all. What do you think?

    Archived Unions at Target

I'm just curious, are there unions at any of the distribution centers? We had an all team member meeting a few weeks back and we were told about the number of injuries and incidents we've had at our DC and our GM stated that compared to DC's in California, we were at about 100 more incidents...
