    Archived Target Dress Code

We have a new ETL/Logistics. He transferred here several weeks ago. Today I wore my Canada shirt. He made the comment he liked my shirt. Made me smile. Thanks again for your responses. Makes me feel better after the negative comments I received.

    Archived Target Dress Code

A couple years ago, perhaps more I purchased a Target Loves Canada shirt from the bullseye shop. I realize all the Canada stores have been closed for sometime. I love my Canada shirt and wear it periodically. My STL as well as the ETLs I'm sure have seen me wearing it and have not commented on...

    Archived We're Going P-Fresh

I read our table talker today that had a note from our STL. It really took me by surprise because I don't think it's meant to be made public yet. She asked us to tell our friends & family about our upcoming remodel to P-Fresh. Was she perhaps jumping the gun on this? I haven't talked to anyone...

LOL, I think the same thing. We got our two pack last week. They were with flow earlier this week.

    Team Member Smells like Booze

It's happened at our store before more than once. Twice they were sent home. The other time he worked part of his shift then sent home. I'm not sure about the details or process that was involved other than a cab was called for them. There may have been more than these three before I was hired...

Archived Hey (just some warnings regarding my behavior)

Welcome to our forums. I agree with Crohl about how Target includes all backgrounds & disabilities. Several months ago we hired someone who was deaf. She is able to read lips & knows ASL. As to asking questions, I've often heard the only stupid questions are the ones not asked.

Thank yous are in order here. Thank you to commie for coming to my defense in preferring to remain anonymous. You explained my thoughts quite well. (BTW, I'm a she :) ) Thank you to seasonal for your apology, it is greatly appreciated. Also thank you to HLM about the maps to help guests as well...

Losing food ave to Starbucks? I'm not a big Starbucks fan, but I know several TMs are hoping we get a Starbucks added. All our baby items have been in infants for some time except for the travel size items which are still in H&B. Never knowing where things have moved to will make it rough for...

Archived Go Out With A BANG!

I haven't read this entire thread but do have a comment about one BR TM we had several years ago. He knew he was going to be fired soon, just didn't know when. As suggested by someone else he LOCUed several wacos in different aisles. He probably would have done more damage by printing wrong...

No, we are not former Gemco. I've never heard of this chain. I'd prefer not to state on a public former what retail chain preceded us in this building on a public forum. The more info I give the easier it would be to determine where I am and perhaps who I am. I may have given too much info...

    Archived Service Loop

This is the first I've heard of this. Don't know if it's started in my store or not. IMO this would get on a guest's nerves if they are asked CIHYFS by ten different TMs. I've had guests in the past during the holidays complain because I was the 4th or 5th person to ask that question.

No, we are not. We are in an old building, about 1975, I think. It was a former retail chain that has went out of business. We've been here since 1989. Hopefully the asbestos was removed during one of our previous remodels. I didn't think about department losing aisles. This may very well be...

insightful, you asked about our store layout. I assume you mean our we a gm store. We already have aisles A1-A20 as market plus our freezer and cooler wall. The date is Dec. 26 to begin remodel as we are huge for back to college in sales. I think they didn't want to lose sales during that...

We were recently informed our store will be going P-Fresh later this year. I honestly don't see how it can be done without putting an addition to our store. Our STL, had zero info about it just the date. I'm excited :excited: about it, but really don't know what to expect. I've visited other...

Archived backroom bailing out flow team...again

I refuse to be drawn into the discussion about how flow team sucks. I will however address the original question. In our store about once a week or sometimes less our backroom will come help push. Usually it is due to needing the floor cleared by 8 or an unusually large truck. They don't come to...

Welcome to our forums, supertech 1158. Thanks for posting an intro. We recently had one of our backroom TMs transfer to a DC in another state. Quite a change I would suppose.

    Archived Something to remember

First welcome, Supertech 1158 & Retail Girl, to our forums and the wonderful world of Target. Not everyone is cut out to work in retail. What some don't realize is that with every job there will be something you don't like about it. There is no "perfect" job IMO. But what you have stated here...

Archived Flow Team idiots or scapegoats?

I totally agree with the first part but our truck unload begins at 3am rather than 5. Being on flow isn't as easy as it may appear. There's a lot more to the job than just stocking the shelves. Just this week we had only three trucks each one being 2100-2200. On two of those days we were unable...
