So, inventory is coming up and I have my teams backstocking all assortments in the same place, to make putting up the assortment reports easier. If you aren't a log TM or TL this may not make much sense to you. But if you are,
I talk to my ETL log today and let her know, I'm going to need her help backstocking some of the halloween transition assortments. I tell her put all of the boxes on a pallet, face the pick labels out. Print the pallet location out and backstock all of the boxes to the location, then print the assortment sheets and tag them to the pallet.
40 Minutes later...
Me: What's going on, you ok?
Her: It doesn't fit, I need to take some boxes off.
Me: Why not just locu that location and sto it back into another one where it does fit?
Her: No that took forever.
Me: Um...no..it takes like 30 seconds.
Her: No, its so much scanning.
Me:.....are you using locu to sto it back in?
Her: What?
(Conversation about how to use locu correctly..then I ask who trained her)
Her: No, I didn't really get a lot of backroom training because I already knew how to backstock so there wasn't a point.
Oh no, there was a point. Clearly you missed it.
It's the little things that make my day. In her defense, she did work overnight and stayed until 1 to help.
