Best way to stack shelves on pallet?

I know there's a certain way to stack these 4' shelves on a pallet so it doesn't tip over or slide. Can someone give me advice on how to properly stack them or pics?? I always forget the order.

Bottom row is shelf down, notches out
then
Shelf up, notch in.

This will allow for the most stable stacks of shelves

Yes, this is how we do it at my store too, with the shelves "locked" together to avoid slipping. I usually only palletize 24 shelves on each pallet though. After that, stability becomes an issue even after shrinking. Luckily we only ever have a max of 2 pallets of shelves to store.

A couple of those pallets have mostly basedecks on them which stack much more flatly than shelves. And the other pallets...... honestly, those horrify me. The chaos of those are just too much for my brain to handle, no judgements though- they looked shrinked really well!
No basedecks on them just 18,22 and 32s. I haven’t killed anyone yet lol

The neater pallets definitely look like they have basedecks on them based on how the part that hooks into the gondola looks. I don't mean the black basedeck pieces or end decks, just the top part that serves as shelf one for a pog and slides in on top of the black piece. Most of those are 22" and very flat w/o angled side brackets.

I've never seen them mixed with shelves for storage before; my PML keeps those parts with the rest of his extra gondola parts instead.

It’s nice that your pml does that . Even tho he is not supposed to anymore . I have my inbound team build all my style flat and entertainment flat for outdoor garden .

Yeah definitely basedeck shelves on those pallets

I'm amazed you have enough to need a pallet made. Our shelf wall in the fixture room is empty because so many are being used in seasonal/mini right now.
Maybe OP is getting a remodel and is part of the demerch team. I was and I stacked shelves on pallets every night, sometimes 3-4 feet high.

I guess it depends on the climate. I’m in the northeast and we aren’t setting patio anytime soon.

But oddly enough, we were one of the first stores in the region to set swim, all the way back in early December.
