mash is one of my all time fave shows. i caught it in syndication and bought the entire series. he was great.

Laugh-aloud funny, war-weary somber, tender father-figure, stern soldier....he was all those & more. We lost a good man, our Harry.

Not to age myself, but my Mom loved him on Dragnet. I vaguely remember seeing him on that growing up.

Hitch had been fighting cancer for a long time and I do mean fighting, he never took the easy way on anything.
I didn't agree with him on many things but was always impressed with how he said it.

I have a couple of his books. He had a magnificent command of the language and was able to convey his opinions in a colorful way. He seemed to be extremely intelligent. I was always excited when he was a guest on Politically Incorrect. Although you may not have agreed with him, he did stand by what he believed.
