Chain of Custody - Salvage edition

What does that greenfield report mean exactly?
It's to track what percentage of Salvage is tied to the sweep pallet, presumably. Right now we only do this for CRC, which is already a pain and a huge time sink for the receiver. We have to make sure every item has a CRC sticker next to the UPC barcode (and print a replacement if they don't have both), and scan each item from the pallet into location on the Pallet ID barcode.
This takes an hour or so every couple of days, we were given no extra hours of payroll to do it, and I'm already overbooked on tasks. If they make us do salvage too.... well I guess I'll do it bc I'm a pushover 😞. But it's gonna stress me out even more, and make me think even harder about taking my skills to another company that might be less intense.

There are videos available to watch on Workbench. Search: chain of custody. Looks like it will be mostly pricing team impacted by this. TM scans each item as they add it to the pallet. IMPORTANTLY the sticker is not required to be scanned for regular salvage, and multiple quantities can be added (scan one & type in 12, instead of having to scan 12 times)

How will it work for pricing? They don't get ticked for salvage. My store also keys everything in for salvage. How will the system know if it was faked?
I think the point of this is that they cant fake it anymore. There was a big thing about not faking it a year or so ago but that lasted a little bit and presumably went back the norm. So unfortunately because nobody did it correct now you gotta do this

At one point, my sore was making the front-end team scan into their pallets until they kept fucking it up. They then tried having the FOS attendants scan the pallet in receiving when they take them back, but leads got mad with how much time it took them, so they stopped

Makes sense. I dont like how they fake it, or even ticket not ticketing anything. I just feel that somehow they will find a way to fake it and the DSDs will have their SDs do it for numbers.

So they scan items on the sales floor, and then have to scan the items again as they put them on the Green salvage pallet?

Does the Greenfield report show a % of items scanned on the salesfloor vs. the actual # of items scanned into the pallet?

Yes, its double work. Yes, there's a % on Greenfield under the revlog dashboard. Items scanned into the pallet ÷ all items salvaged (sales floor, backroom, random stuff that just appears somehow, NOT INCLUDING BULLSEYES PLAYGROUND) = Chain of custody salvage %.

oh... that could *really* suck during Seasonal Salvage. Or during times when Salvage in Style is high, like for Swim... or a big change in Domestics - like BTC to Winter ( or what ever comes after BTC) or Toys salvage.

Does it list the actual DPCIs of the items not scanned to a pallet? so they can narrow down what is not making it onto the correct pallet? Does it do that now for the CRC pallet?

: sorry for all the questions :
I have never done Receiving, so have no idea how this all works and shows up in Greenfield.

It does list all the details for items scanned Salvage: how many were scanned as Salvage, how many were scanned in to the pallet, how many each team member scans Salvage. There seems to be no way to know if John scans one and Barbara scans one and only one is scanned into the pallet, who didn't scan theirs.
The report is updated Daily between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m.

95% or above is green. Just sharing
