Prior to starting at my store 1 year ago, I was interviewed by 2 people -- one of my TLs for the first interview, then a different TL from another part of the store. Both interviews occurred in quick succession and promptly following the second interview, I was informed by the HRTM that I had been hired, and she handed me the conditional job offer form.
Things are different now, it seems. ALL candidates for ALL jobs at my store, even cashiers, must now interview with their ETL then the STL. I find it strange that our STL feels the need to interview everybody, including cashiers. He even interviewed me when I promoted to GSA. I always thought the STL only needed to interview for TL/ETL candidates. This new change also means that new hires have to wait to be called back for the second interview.
