Sad but true, but a small temporary victory is still better than nothing, and they may be under scrutiny for a while...

My old store is located in a small township and the fire marshal comes by every three months or so....and he also comes by twice a year to check out and test the fire alarm.
Once there was something that Target had hanging horizontal near the front of the store and the fire marshal made them take it down because it could have an effect on the free flow of water from the sprinklers.
Yes, if a store is caught by a fire marshal who sees the fire exit blocked it is a HUGE fine.....maybe as large a fine as having pallets standing on their sides.
Blocking the fire tunnel or any exit is a major, major NO, NO.
If ever you want to get things fixed and made neat.....just call the fire station and tell them of the issue and I'm sure that the fire marshal will be more than happy to stop by!!
