I got absolute no training whatsoever in fitting room & I have shift on Wednesday in the PM for FR.
The question is will they be training me or will they just throw me on there to expect what to know?
Another is what do you basically do in FR ? Im so nervous just because I know I am going to hate it! I dont want to answer calls or all that ( Yes I know I basically signed up for it) but still. I know I am not suitable for it. Trust me

I was literally thrown to do Fitting Room shifts with 0 training. I did what I could when given entire shifts. Someone ended putting me FR crosstrained for 3 months. But I was really meant to help FR for breaks.

Confirm with your TL/ETL on the shift. It maybe training, help give breaks, or bad scheduling.

Unfortunately it's difficult to say. At my store fitting room is focused on guest service so they don't watch the phone anymore. Another team member carries the cordless around.

Holy cow, why or why doesn't Target actually train people? Really?

That said, if your FR includes answering the phone your first question is how to transfer calls to people who can provide answers. Or, how to place calls on hold so you can ask on the walkie for answers for caller questions on the phone. Second priority or first if not answering phones is escorting guests to the FR, answering questions and generally being pleasant. You also need to be observant to prevent shortage. It's all about the guest experience. I've fetched clothes in other sizes for FR guests occasionally, but only if they are in really close proximity to the FR because of the phones. Finally, if phones are answered, guests are escorted and happy, then you can do the other FR jobs - folding, hanging and sorting reshop, salvage, repacking, and zoning the areas close to the FR.

Sometimes I seriously wonder about Spot and their "training' programs. Check that, I always I seriously wonder.
