General question about AP - why?

AP seems like such a tough job. You have to deal with all the crazies, be the one to tell people "no," and you're in the most danger. Why do you do it over other roles in the store?

The job itself aside, AP is the single most direct path upward in the company. Lots of great opportunities for anyone who is decent at their job for AP.

Not to mention being able to take the experience elsewhere. Retail manaagers are a dime a dozen. Asset Protection managers with experience are valuable.

Never knew AP had such upward mobility. What are the next steps after AP business partner?

I have no idea what APs structure is lol I just know they have a huge push to hire internal and AP ETLs and AP OMs leave relatively frequently to go to elevated roles.
