Hello Everyone!

First, I want to thank everyone who gave me advice on interviewing for a TL position a few months ago. It took a while, but I’m receiving a temporary TL promotion while a GSTL is out on leave. Then I will most likely be transitioned over to a different TL position.

I do have a few questions though.

First, what advice do you all have for me as a new GSTL? Anything I should try to implement early or anything I should avoid doing?

Second, is it normal to receive a temporary promotion? Is this just like a try out to see how I do?

There are a lot of threads about gstl but this does happen it's nice they are giving you a raise. It allows them to test you so work hard and ask them for feedback.

Thanks! I usually try and get continuous feedback from my TL’s and ETL’s. Will continue to do this.

Definitely! I’ve been on a team (not with target) where I was not supported by my managers. It sucks.
