Archived How many Target brands from the 90's and early 2000's can you remember?

Has Xhileration really been around that long? Great brand from my perspective. Nice distinctive patterns that make the clothes easy to find quickly.

  • Cherokee, children's and women's clothing. On September 10, 2015, it was announced that Target stores would cease carrying the brand when its partnership with Cherokee Inc. expired on January 31, 2017. It was replaced by Cat & Jack;
  • Circo, toddler's and kids clothing. The brand was replaced by Pillowfort upon debut.
  • Merona, a clothing brand purchased by Target in 1991;
  • Mossimo Supply Co., a clothing line. In partnership with brand owner Iconix Brand Group;
  • Room Essentials, a low-end home goods line. Mostly phased out since the launch of Project 62;
  • Xhilaration and Gilligan & O'Malley product lines of intimates and sleepwear were discontinued after the release of the brands Auden, Stars Above, and Colsie.
  • Target has many exclusive deals with various designers and name brands, including Finnish design company Marimekko; architect Michael Graves; athletic wear company Converse; Portland-based undergarment designer Pair of Thieves; Italian fashion label Fiorucci; fashion designers Lilly Pulitzer, Liz Lange, Mossimo Giannulli, and Isaac Mizrahi, among others. To further increase their fashion profile, Target also created its fashion-forward Go International line, which hires famous designers to design collections available only for a few months.[143]

hey that's cheating!

Didn't Graves help design Disney?

Nvm...from Google.

For Disney, Graves designed the Company’s Team Disney Building in Burbank, California—its corporate headquarters—the Dolphin and Swan Hotels at Walt Disney World Resort, and the Hotel New York at Disneyland Paris.

Didn't the relationship with Graves begin the collaboration with other designers at Target?

I loved LOVED Isaac! He did a plaid line that was all sherbet colors. I still have the sundress. It was (in his words) Fabulous Dahling!
There was also a S+ark line (Stark) mostly home office
The cherokee had the BEST work pants, khakis that wore like iron.

We found some stuff called @work I think under a basedeck in OFCE, and the DPCI was still attached to the Up and Up version of the same item.

Room essentials was mostly but not entirely phased out with launch of Made by Design, NOT P62. They coexisted together for a while.

I remember circo and cherokee, that’s what I grew up with. Nate Burkis is still a thing but it was much bigger back when it launched.

Don’t forget about Target Home!

These two threads should be merged. Same topic, created by the same user less than a year apart. Glitch in the Matrix?

Hm. Missing cause and effect with RE and Project 62, it seems. Room Essentials is phasing out with Made By Design.
