And the very beginnings of the recession are starting to creep in....200 Walgreen's, 46 CVS, all of the Charming Charlie's, even Nissan and Schneider National (trucking company) are getting in on it
But Trump is doing so good!

The recession will full-on hit if a Democrat wins 2020 and JUST LIKE WITH OBAMA, the rightwing will scream about how the recession is the Democrat's fault.

Check out this article from USA TODAY:

Sears and Kmart store closings list: 21 Sears and 5 Kmart locations to close in October

OT but my adblocker went up to 106 when I clicked on that link. For funsies I closed it and reopened it, and it went to 101.

And they wonder why people have adblock

The only thing that would be worse is if they didn't let you see the page with adblock. "We need ad revenue to survive!" Maybe if you only had 5 ads per page I'd let them load. But over 100? Are you crazy??? My internet has a data cap and I'm not going to waste it all on ads! /rant over

Also, I agree. Sears wasn't doing GREAT when I was a kid, but it was still doing well enough to maintain its stores. Then things started to look bad when I was a teenager (everyone knows how shitty Kmarts tend to look. Especially around the fitting rooms). This drain circling is going on forever.

I got 129 ads blocked off that site.

Usually when a site has a popup that refuses to let you see content unless you whitelist, you can bypass it by turning off java. I've got an add-on that has a toggle switch, page specific.

Letting the store manager control things bases on their customers. MADNESS. Wait it works MORE MADNESS!

Knowing what your local customers want is key. I was Footwear manager for three years at my former company. Corporate never merchandised well for back-to-school so I often ditched what the sales plan wanted me to feature and merchandised what I thought would sell. One year they wanted endcaps of the typical Reebok and New Balance athletic shoes, but we had all these cool skate shoes that were buried in with the other athletic shoes and weren't moving. I put them on the endcaps instead, made a nice display, and in a few days they all sold.

Target needs to learn that we don't need 5,000 copies of Girl Wash Your Face et al... Have to spend hours every day putting and sorting books that never sell.
