When finishing MIR’s on the sales floor do we still M delete the items we can’t find at the end of the batch? I was told not to M delete any more but don’t know of any other way to close them out. Any ideas?

When you are working the mirs on the salesfloor and you've look the best you can you have to "m" move to finish the salesfloor. That is the only way to to finish the salesfloor locations. If you do not you will not be able to the next step. That is shipping the mir.
M for salesfloor is different than M in backroom (which we are not to do)

By merchant, is it referring to guests? So any guest returns that end up in reshop?

It refers to vendor returns.

You don’t move. You quit the batch and finish it. That of course if you exhausted all your options on finding the items.
