NGSCO ideas to make it easier to use

For stores that have the NGSCO it has problems all the time. I have a few ideas that would make it easier for guests and team members

  • Card only mode
    • if there is an issue with either the coin or bill recycler you can't take cards unless you somehow get rid of the error which will popup again when a guest uses cash
    • if a register is low on funds to hand out change it should automatically go to card only mode and send a notification that it's in card only mode
  • Not enough change
    • If the machine has enough change to not kick in card only mode but not enough for the guest a TM should be able to select a register or group of registers (like the service desk) to have the amount owed popup on the screen when you are logged in not in the middle of helping a guest. The TM at that register would then get that amount of money out so it's available or almost available when the guest comes up to get the change.
      • If you have a second NGSCO that has enough change to dispense for the guest a TM would select that one first only if it's not being used
  • Receipt paper runs out
    • When this happens there should be a button for a TM to send to another register and it would automatically print the receipt with or without being logged into it.
  • Banking app on Zebras
    • would show what the banking app on the SCO sees and lets you put it in card only mode
  • Better Team Member is coming screens
    • The only screen that explains what is happening is the coupon screen. If an ID is needed it should say that on the screen so the guest can start getting it out before the TM comes to the register
