Archived Promotion on CA?

I'm currently a flow team member and cashier often as well as occasional backroom shifts. Today on flow my team lead asked me if I would be interested in taking the open GSTL position. I said yes I would but they placed me on a final warning a few months ago because I came in late after misreading my schedule. My team lead had forgotten this and said that it may not be possible for me to accept the position now but that he will speak with our HR about it. Thoughts on this? Anyone ever get promoted while on a CA?

Your hr will remind your tl about your ca. Spot doesn't promote or transfer anyone on ca. If you are final warning, that means have some issues with attendance or performance.

Unfortunately it's not possible to transfer or promote on a CA for performance... I believe (although I'm not 100%) that a CA for conduct (NCNS) is different. Was it a NCNS or multiple tardies/call outs?

We promoted a tm on a final for attendance to a team leader. Target does whatever they want, if they like you they will promote you.
