I’ve been with Target for 6 years..but I’ve always worked frontend..tonight I was told there was a team lead Position available and my ETL suggested I’ll be good for the job. It’s for Starbucks..im use to my frontend and team but moving up is something I’ve been looking forward to for the longest.! So I’m curious is Starbucks a good department to work?

It’s a lot to learn especially coming in as a TL cause you have to learn how to be a barista, a TL and how to order. So if you decide to take it give yourself time to learn the ropes.

Starbucks can be a really great workcenter!! I would say that it’s a very good TL position for someone who is just starting out in leadership. Go for it!

It's a great place to start leadership, but expect to spend a year there AND in another workcenter to promote to ETL. You won't get to demonstrate logistics or operations skills as well in that position.

You definitely do learn logistics and operations as a Starbucks TL, it’s just foreign to most Target leaders so they are unfamiliar with what those TLs have to do.
