I'm thinking of relocating to another DC in a different state, but I would prefer the one that is within 15 miles from where you can find affordable places to live. For example, in my state, the DC is 18miles from where you can actually find apartments or houses nearby. Any experience is highly appreciated

If a short commute and decently priced housing are the only things you care about, Cedar Falls looks nice. You can get what looks like a decent house for $100-150k about 5-10 minutes from the DC.
