RIP Steve Jobs

#5
Over the years, I had plenty of criticism of Apple, of Jobs and of the fanbois who would give Apple a pass on things they would have been ripping Microsoft for doing.

That said, Jobs contributed a lot to the world, he died far too young and I'll lift a glass to him tonight.

Well, I find it very interesting that Apple decided to wait until after the stock markets all closed to break the news of Steve's death. It's tragic, I know, but they took releasing that information into the business standpoint. I haven't heard word of what caused his death, but I have a feeling that back in August when he stepped down as CEO that his doctors told him his cancer was back and I feel he knew it would be his last fight and decided that would be the best time for him to transfer his reign.

They said on the news it was cancer. He was way too young.

I have a felling he died before the iPhone 4s launch. If you watch the keynote you can clearly see they were not very excited or happy. if they broke news of his death before the launch, stocks would have come to a all time low on top of them dropping after the 4s launch that was already a sham,.

I heard that as they were picking a name for the new iPhone, someone suggested "How about iPhone 4S?" to which Steve replied "Over my dead body!"

You also have the Westboro Baptist Church planning on picketing his funeral. Not sure how their philosophy of "God Hates Fags" fits into his funeral, but Fred Phelps and his hate-mongering family know how much free publicity they will get rom all this. The funniest part is that they announced the picket over twitter from Marjie Roper-Phelps' iPhone. Hypocrites.

LOL, they are the furthest thing from a church. I wonder if most people know they're really an inbred cult. Most of the "members" of this "church" are just members of Phelp's extended family.

The way they support their little nightmare is suing people.
So they want to get a reaction that would allow them to take you to court and get money out you.

Wonder what would happen if a bunch of big, burly types picketed Phelps' little nut-house...
It's been tried. They will have the cops quietly escort you from their immediate premises. They now hold some type of "service" pretty much all day (so they say) thus making it not legal to picket around their compound.
