I was working on one last time I worked in the coffee world, but ended up quitting before I got very far. To be honest I don't think my team lead (or whatever the weirdo target term is for it) has any idea what a black apron is

That is possible, tbh. There are some terrific Team Leaders running Starbucks in Targets, but there are some who don't really care so much, while others just don't get the needed support from their leadership teams. Welcome aboard.
