I'm in HR currently (was a former etc-logistics intern back in 2012-2013) and have been looking for a new job. I don't mind my current company, but I'm getting bored and seeing whats out there.

I saw that the D.C. In the next town over is hiring for Sr. HR Specialist and was wondering if anyone had details on what the position entailed, if it was exempt/non, etc. And if it would be worth it to apply.

Thanks!

That job could be like the etl-hr job at the store level. Because Srtl-hr are replacing the etls at some stores. In 2018, there will be no more etl-hr jobs supposedly.

Not too sure. At the DC, we have HR Techs (hourly), HRBP's (salaried) and the HRM (salaried). 'Sr. HR specialist' might be another position I've just never had contact with, or perhaps it's how one of the aforementioned positions is labeled for the job posting. Or maybe they're changing terminology again. At any rate, IDK.

Some of the techs I engage with have that title. I don't know if they are a senior position or we just call all of them by that title.

You'll be an hourly HR worker. You'll assist in HR matters and typically specialize in a function: payroll, staffing, etc.
