it has just occurred to me that I have never seen the inside of any cash office at any job I have worked, not even so much as a quick glimpse through the door opened part way, and all of the places I've ever worked definitely had one. It has a quasi-mythical allure like the Old Testament descriptions of the Holy of Holies.
