I want to make sure people know that a lot of people on this site are not working for Target and they do not have up to date info on Target operations and policies.
Some of these people may have worked for Target in the past, but Target has changed alot.
So beware of people giving you advice on attendance, culture rules and policies.

Fly under the radar. Ask questions but not too many. A subordinate outshining a superior will work against you. Don't offer suggestions, no one will listen. Attendance is critical.

Pick up odd shifts, they like that shit. Volunteer for the grunt work, they like that shit. Do the cardboard.

I've been out of Target for about a few years and I can't believe Target has changed in that small amount of time.

There was a time when I began putting backroom labels on the inside of waco boxes because I knew no one would take my suggestion. The etl noticed the newly put labels and made the morning backroom team put the labels on the inside of all of the waco boxes in the backroom.

This "scruffi"-est people stayed in the back all day. Now everyone has to work on the sales floor while the store is open. So you get to see everybody, isn't that nice? Long gone are the days of "great by 8". Now push goes til 12/1, longer sometimes.
