I watched it and it confused me even more. I just want to know is the new doctor going to wear a bra and panties or Walter White white tighties? You may call me harsh or cold but I want the new doctor to have some trouble adjusting to being inside a female body and be treated like one by society. He/she shouldn't have it easy as a woman at first LOL. I'd like to see him/her have to wear a short dress and heels or a leather skirt and jacket and boots or deal with her period. If the doctor is going to be a woman, she needs to experience everything a woman experiences. Would she be immune to periods since she's immortal and basically a god?

The Doctor is going to be The Doctor.
They have always had their own sense of style so hers will fit her and she will stick to it.
There won't be any trouble adjusting to the body because a Timelord is used to switching bodies, young to old, thin to fat, tall to short.
It isn't an issue for them for more than a hot minute.
This is Doctor Who where social issues have been explored for decades, so I expect they will deal with some of the aspects of The Doctors gender.
What is you obsession with periods?
The Doctor is an alien, a Gallifreyan and a Timelord, who knows what their menstrual cycles are?
If they have them at all.

Not an obsession, a curiosity. I just want Doctor Who to do a fair and honest portrayal of a male character becoming female. I don't want the gender thing to simply be ignored. I would love it if Peter Capaldi would have been allowed to stay on the show and be the voice inside of the new female Doctor. That would have been hilarious.

What applies to a us switching genders would have nothing to do with the Timelords.
Like she pointed out in the video, it is perfectly natural for them, not even something to think about much.
They are aliens!
Now for how people react to The Doctor as a woman, that will be interesting to see and how well the writers handle it.

Their entire bodies change during regeneration, the new Doctor takes the form of a human. The new one is a cisgendered female.

Literally who cares what underwear they wear.

I want it to be well written and not too preachy.

Almost every TV show right now is preachy(usually about social justice and from a liberal bias) so you can't avoid that. It's the new norm.

As far as The Doctor's underwear goes, I want to know boxers or briefs because of my own curiosity but now since he is a woman I guess it's panties, thongs, or g strings or maybe The Doctor goes commando.

Since The Doctors outfits have included everything from a sprig of celery to a 15 foot scarf, I'm sure the underwear has been every bit as varied.
For all we know #3 wore silk garters under that snazzy opera cape.
Hell, #6 always looked like he was getting ready to go play cricket, maybe he was wearing a jockstrap.
Seriously, WGAF?

For those of you only familiar with NuWho, here is a rendition of some of the old outfits.
If might give you a better idea of where #13 got her idea from.

I just want to know what her catchphrase ends up being, how she's gonna deal with the Daleks again, what Missy's reaction will be next time they meet up (I'm imagining insane glee), and how many Big Finish stories I'm going to have to listen to in order to tide me over until the new episodes in the fall.

Well, in the Christmas episode Missy and the Master killed each other. There were no signs of either one regenerating but this is Doctor Who so who knows.

We know that the Master will regenerate into Missy leading back into the Afterlife storyline.

After shooting Missy, the Master reported that blast would disrupt the regeneration process and kill Missy. However, the Master lies.

Or

The Cybermen (The Doctor Falls) find Missy's body and force her to regenerate, or convert her into a new semi-Cyberman body.

Of all the "rules" the show makes for itself, I highly doubt "the Master returning after certain death with no satisfactory explanation" will be among the ones that it also breaks. Just like the TARDIS being able to change into something other than a police box... they did try that with Six, and it just ended up being stupid. There are some things, explanation or no, that I think they'll always keep the same.

To kill off a major character like the Master...Michelle Gomez will definitely be retiring Missy. But I doubt the Master is completely gone.

Hell they could even throw in a regeneration from Missy to someone else to Missy again and thatd work. Nothing says the Time Lords cant have the same face again

The jury is still out with me, but that little clip sure looks promising.

I know this beating a dead horse but I hope they drum up the starting arc for the Valeyard this season.

All in all, a pretty good opener.
The Doctor is The Doctor and that's all we can ask.
The companions seem like a decent lot as well, though I still wish we had gotten someone from the past or future.
The monster wasn't bad either, maybe not iconic but certainly memorable.

It definitely had a different feel. It had more of a Torchwood production type of feel to it. And it was a little slow in the build up, but, the regeneration shows are always a bit slow at first.

I would say Matt Smith's was the best and most comical.

With one companion already down, I guess the show is foretelling that this season will be a bit darker and suspenseful.
