I think that is the point of this season is that the companions are going to be taking more of a front role. The very first season or two the companions were the front characters with the Doctor being more the cranky old man giving advise when needed.
I have a feeling that the Doctor is going to be more involved and more attached to this group than most companions before.
Rosa Parks - This was a pretty emotional episode. As the fandom put it "What is scarier...Skaro or 1955 Mongomery, AL." How would you feel to be forced to be part of a pivotal moment in time where so much hate and change was happening. Where you had do something that would put someone in jeopardy because it would lead to change.
But who was this Krasko guy...he must have known River and he murdered thousands. So Ryan zapped him back in time, so is he the Arc for the season?
I remember the Doctor mentioning the outside plate and gushing over the interior. I missed comments on the color. This is problematic for me LOL. I'm working on a cross stitch project in the TARDIS blue, but now it's not the same blue.... Harrumph.....
This was a strong episode especially for me.
The feeling of not wanting to let go of the people we have lost hit really hard.
Everyone was really good and casting an actual blind actor was very cool.
The show has a lot of the Classic Who feel only then it would have taken three or four half hour episodes and been written by Douglas Adams.
I was able to hold it together until the end when Ryan called Graham grandfather.
