So, my friend has training in a few days and she was wondering what to expect for it. She is doing online training and cashier training.

Online could be anything that is due when you're new like Alcohol, Price Accuracy, etc. They may add in the Ethics or Harassment Free if they want to get those out of the way. They all can be done on a Zebra so it might be done that way or a computer if there are any free. Good luck to her!!
 
Sounds like they are training her to be backup cashier, when there's a rush.

The computer training is probably related to Style, such as how to properly be a fitting room attendant (if they still offer that particular session) and other upselling/suggestive selling techniques.
 
The new onboarding includes the TM’s first 6 days starting with videos and Learnings on Workday. This is designed to bring a different focus to the training that day, easing TMs into their role while reinforcing what’s already been learned. TMs should not work ahead and only complete the appropriate day for their Workday Learnings.

The videos range from about 20 minutes to an hour, depending on day and position. But they are supposed to take one a day for their first six shifts, with a follow up and hands on training with a peer. I know not all stores are going to follow this but it will come back to bite them. If anyone decides to audit Sally’s guest advocate training and see that she did all of her training videos the day after orientation someone will have their ass handed to them.
