Am I the only lead that feels like they are sucking at their job now. With the new roll outs team moral has gone to the crapper. Pretty much looking at all new TMs as the experienced ones are putting in two weeks left n right and any close to veterans we do have are looking at being coached out the door for poor performance. finding time to train new tms and just get the tm up to date on q1/q2 focuses is impossible it seems when we can barely get done with truck reshop and pricing and POGs ha yea OK... I know I sound like a baby but it's frustrating to go home everyday feeling like you didn't accomplish anything and that u kno come morning SD is gonna rip u a new one

In my store, veteran TM’s are all retiring.. others are just sticking it out because they don’t want to start over somewhere new... It’s sad. Other solid TM’s are fed up and quitting left and right also. I’m doing well with modernization and end to end but with overall morale going exponentially down i can’t say it’s not affecting me. Sad times here at target

If this was true then we all would be on the same page. All the stores would be the same. Communication would flow and everyone would know what needed to happen everyday BUT this is not the case. Otherwise we all wouldn't be on this site having these discussions.
I was just being sarcastic with my statement lol

End to end and "business owners" was actually a great idea. Building on an idea they scrapped like a decade ago when they had "specialists" taking care of certain areas. Scrapped because it takes a LOT of payroll for someone to successfully own a small section of the store, and Target was all about getting something for nothing.

Last I was there, the entirety of my store's Style TMs that was capable of doing the job and didn't just work 1 day a week texting on their phone the whole time had quit, minus one person who was getting more than 20 hours working half their shifts in Flex.
The person who unloaded and sorted the freight had left - and leadership told the team they could do it themselves, or it didn't get done. It didn't get done.
There were like 11 pallets thrown up in the bulk racking.

They started making exceptions for some TLs on the mid shifts but not others, causing a lot of conflict and call ins, ETLs were refusing to work past 3-5pm, and the Store Director refused to do anything other than open, meaning the TLs on his weekend rotation got shafted having to work nothing but late mids and closes.

I'm morbidly curious how the store is going to make it through this. But, not nearly enough to stick around and live through it.

So far so good. Havent had any 1-on-1 conversations about any new roles or responsibilities i may have. So I just keep doing what I do until I'm told differently. OPU, bikes, RFID scan. That's 30-ish hours/wk. Can't complain.

I left when the cart pusher broke and no one acted like they were gonna do anything about it.

My store had its original cart pusher until the handle was being held on with duct tape, and the batteries were so fried that it had to be plugged in at all times when not in actual use. The main issue, however, is the cart doors. Of the four doors, only one still holds open. I have been bringing this up with any ETL that would listen, and several who wouldn't, for over a decade now. Not even pointing out that it is a serious safety hazard has gotten them to repair them The most recent excuse was that the doors would all be replaced during the store's remodel. Remodel came and went, and no new doors. I'm one of the last front end team members left who can even remember when they weren't broken

Doorstops can be requisitioned from the hardware isle.

Yes, this. The idea of people having ownership over areas isn't a bad one, generally speaking, but it requires more people, not less, as now everything takes more time. Shifting the burdens of more work onto the same/fewer people is a recipe for the predictable disaster we all find ourselves in. It also makes it a lot harder for me to answer guest questions if I stay in one part of the store and lose familiarity with other areas of the store. The good part would be the supposed instructions for the front end to handle their own shit and not call to the floor for backup, but most GSAs don't give a shit about that directive and with no ETL on most nights, nobody enforces it.

Been through three PMTs in that time frame. The story I got from the ETLs is that door repairs have to be done by an outside contractor. They have had said contractor to the store several times for the entrance and exit doors over the years, but every time I bring up the cart doors, it just isn't in the budget. I strongly suspect that if I red tagged the doors, they would, A. cut the red tag off at their earliest convenience, and B. transfer me to Vladivostok ("It is NOT a gulag! It is a motivational retreat.")
