Archived How Target Should Sell Red Cards

THIS!!!! I have two opinions about REDcards, one as a Target guest and one as a former cashier at a low volume store. As a Guest I have both the REDcards. I like them both and use one or the other on EVERY Target purchase. My REDcard saved me a lot of money on my Christmas shopping and when I...

Thanks. Should I be expecting it on my last pay check or another check that is just my vacation time?

    Archived Un-used vacation time.

Hey everyone. I am not sure I am putting this thread in the right place so if not the admins can feel free to move it. As some of you know I have been with spot for two years and tomorrow is my last day. I am expecting a very good pay check. Only thing is I have about 31 hours of un-used...

Service & Engagement What's the point of trying anymore?

I must say I have felt the same way. I am leaving after 2 years and I never got looked at for GSA even though I felt I should have. It dose not bother me now but it dose seem like the dumb asses keep getting promoted and the people who really know the front end don't. It seems like its a...

    I'm Lost! The REDCard Thread

I have been getting ridden VERY hard the last few days by our GSTL over not having enough REDcards the last few weeks. I have been asking and all of you that have worked the front end know that sometimes you just aren't lucky. A guest went up to him with a check ready to sign up. The other...

    I'm Lost! The REDCard Thread

My thoughts are if I have to push Visa gift cards as hard as I do our current debit and credit cards I am going to kill someone.

    Archived Average Hours?

When I got trained I had 2 weeks with only like 5 days, but I was a cashier. IDK how they do it for hardlines. I was just kind of thrown on the sales floor and it was either sink or swim. As far as my weekly average I am lucky enough that I get enough from spot to pay my bills and have a little...

Archived Going from Cashier to GSA.

I have talked to my GSTL once (we don't have a front end ETL). But I will do it again.

    Archived Angry "Extreme" couponers

We have a elderly guest that is awful. She tries to pass off fresh meat coupons for frozen meat, she dose ad matches with ads that are either out of date or not real (she calls them a insert but its obvious she printed them on a computer), then she keeps journals on which cashiers at different...

Archived Going from Cashier to GSA.

I have been at Target for 2 years this November (though only 5 months at my current store). One of our new GSA's could be leaving myself soon to go to a better job. I am eyeing her GSA spot because while I'm still at Target I'd like to get consistent hours even with all the BS GSA's deal with...

Archived In our store Red Cards are the only things that matter.

My GSTL says "be fast" then follows that with "get REDcards" as we all know the two don't go in the same sentence together. You are going to have a back up when someone applies. That's just the way it is.

Archived Things I am thankful we do not carry... and things I wish we did..

I am glad we don't sell Cigarettes (I get enough people angry over asking if I can scan their ID for beer...etc), Live pets, Spray Paint. I wish we did sell Kindle products (though I understand why we stopped), a Target brand soda, and foods that are local to the area of the store. I live near...
