Boy, has my Target gone downhill

It's been... 8 years since I worked for Target. My store had its quirks like any other, but it was decent. Team was good, leadership was good and (mostly) in touch, it was a good place to work. I remember my last Christmas with them. Weekend prior, registers stacked, GSA and GSTL both on...

    Archived MyCheckout

I will say, I can see this being a good thing. I work for Staples these days, and we recently gained the ability to place online orders via our scanners as well. If Spot can commit to this, along with fast delivery, I could see it being a definite benefit I'm jealous about the card-reader...

    Archived Pda bug

Through this same method you can access the file explorer and start playing the redwire alert sound on repeat before hiding the PDA somewhere I mean, not like I did that or anything...

    MEGATHREAD Target myDevices

Lolwut, we definitely can't do that. To be honest, the MyDevices are worlds better than what we have at Staples

Archived The "Vent about all the crazy shit that happened during your shift" thread

The image of a faceless ETL just staring at half a metro rack and scratching their head is killing me

Archived The Big & Dandy Backroom thread!

Oh, definitely did that a couple times, I'd usually have to wait for it to catch up. That's one of the things I loved about the PDAs, you could type and work as fast as you needed and could just wait for it to get through everything and catch up

Archived The Big & Dandy Backroom thread!

It's kind of sad that I got so used to burning batches at my old store, I had it down to pure muscle memory. Could pull and re-sto in like, two seconds flat

Archived Work 2 hours, Get Paid for 3

I think it depends on state law, but they do have to pay you for a minimum of three hours, even if you worked for only 30 minutes

Archived Getting Rid of Unwanted Batches

Pull it , toggle to STO , put it back, rinse and repeat

    Archived Locu Help

I'd say don't worry about LOCU until you're more comfortable with the job and how the backroom works. You can easily mess things up if you use it wrong

To that one Team Member I - ARCHIVED

Is it weird that I loved it when bulk items fell into batches, because I loved using the power equipment so much?

Archived Accidentally clocked out 25 minutes early...what do I do?

Umm, what? No. OP, just bring it up with HR or your TL. Just explain the mistake. It happens

    Archived Why aren't shipper located?

My store handled it by having two or three locations in receiving just for shippers. If a shipper showed up in a batch, it got burned. We all decided it was better to have a few holes on the floor and just let plano handle the shippers when the need arose

Archived I'm two weeks away from freedom, and it feels a little weird

Hooray, I'm finally an official guest! On top of that, things are moving in the right direction at my new job, and I'm closing in on being full-time! I'd like to see Spot give me that

Archived The "Vent about all the crazy shit that happened during your shift" thread

Crap like this is why I now have to carry around a mag key on top of my other keys. For the longest time we just had the general electronics key

Archived I'm two weeks away from freedom, and it feels a little weird

That's what I've been trying the last few weeks, but I simply can't handle working at Target anymore. I'd rather take the cut in hours than work at my store any longer
