    Archived No Receipt Returns

Target is quickly becoming the rich guy with no friends who uses his money to get people to like him. In the end though they only stick around for the free party.

I think the fear of being sued is silly. Plenty of companies have hyper restrictive return policies or have noticed problems with abuse of the current policies and proceeded to tighten up. REI comes to mind as one who found that they were hurting financially by having such a loose return policy...

It might also be worth adding that a lot of my negativity around all of this stems from Target's new found fear of upsetting a guest. Oh you didn't get to use your expired coupon? Here let us send you a 20 dollar gift card because you're upset. Oh you bought a ton of stuff 3 weeks ago that now...

    Archived No Receipt Returns

I think the most frustrating part is that our AP can't do anything to stop it. For the past year or so we've had a strong partnership between the AP and the GS team, but it doesn't seem that the product is coming from our store or any of the stores around us. It may not even be from Target given...

    Archived No Receipt Returns

Lately we've been hit with a monsterous amount of softlines and HBA returns with no receipt. It isn't uncommon to have nearly 1,000 dollars a day in these obviously fraudulent returns, and it is getting worse. Our STL has stuck with the this is the yes desk and we need to process every return...

    Archived Target credit union

I initially opened my account with them just so I could use my employee discount with my debit card instead of getting a RedCard. After using them for a few months and having had several great customer service moments with them I switched all my banking over to them. They are hands down the...

    Archived Possible Integrity Issue

I think the biggest problem for me is that what has been going on is not what we would normally do in our store for a guest. With the coupons for instance we would normally be more than happy to give them the coupon if they were close, but the need to cut out the service desk is what's...

I really appreciate your advice on the situation. I know sometimes it makes sense to take care of the guest and go against policy, but in these instances it always felt off. Obviously I didn't know whether this would be considered an integrity issue, but the fact that these people would ask for...

Well I'm glad to hear that someone else feels that this is an issue. It's been hard to know what to do as the ETL HR is one of the people involved. In the beginning it didn't necessarily feel like they were having us do something wrong, but lately it has started to cross the line.

Unfortunately we don't. We do have an APTL who I'm friends with, but they felt that this issue was outside of their domain given the fact several ETL's were involved. They recommended the hotline, but I don't even know if this situation is a problem or not.

    Archived Possible Integrity Issue

Around my store it has become a recent occurrence that personal friends of the upper management (senior TL's and ETL's) have been receiving preferential treatment because of their relationship. Initially what was going on was fairly innocuous. These individuals would shop right up until we...
