Are cashiers allowed to ring up family members?? I'm just curious.

Lucky! My store KEEPS hiring minors, so we never have any cashiers closing because they have to leave by 9:45, and we keep losing cashiers because most of them only have a part time job to kill time!

I'm more curious as to who all from my store knows of this forum and posts on it... o_O

So my sister is the unthinkable. She's a freakin' couponer! But she had stopped for the longest time, so I thought I would never run into this problem. But recently, she's started back up. I think she expects me to break the rules for her. I don't even want her coming to my store, because...

So when I'm up front, I have this problem where I ask the first time and get denied, I stop asking out of fear of angering the guest. I'm afraid they'll be rude! Well it's because one time I tried that and a lady was rude towards me.....But how can I get over this fear???

True. I guess it's just life.

So like a month ago I put in a request to be interviewed for GSA. I was told numerous times by two LODs and a GSTL I would get an interview (we lost one recently so that's why I even put in the request). So now a month later, still no interview. So it turns out, this other guy got the position...

Guests who say "Oh! Must be free!" when their item isn't ringing up. That joke wasn't funny the first time you said it. Chances are, it isn't going to be the thousandth time either!

I have a problem with confrontation at my job. I work as a cashier and at guest services, and whenever I find myself facing conflict, I get frightened. It's a problem. Like, I always have to call my GSA to do the "dirty work" for me. Can someone give me advice in solving this problem?
