There was a guy at my store whose favorite saying was "We get paid by the hour" basically we get paid for the time we're here, not by what gets done. It used to annoy me so much whenever I heard it, it seemed so lazy. Over the past few years that phrase has started to feel more and more..correct...
I don't think we've ever had less than a full cart of outdates from a lunchbox revision or transition, it's always crazy. When we see that POG coming up we try to find a way to get at least two of us there if not all three and it still takes a big chunk of the day.
In a perfect world where everything in the backroom is easily accessible then absolutely we should always take from the backroom. That just isn't the case though. I'd rather not move 10 vehicles around to be able to move the ladder just to get one box down, when it'd take less than a minute to...
We're told that once you take someone's shift you're supposed to bring it to an etl right away to get it taken care of....but that rarely happens.
The second I see that someone has taken my shift I immediately take it to an etl and so far have had no problems.
