Honestly, it depends on your TL's. My STL wanted me to be a GSA so I can become a GSTL because she thinks I have good leadership abilities. Obviously a GSTL has more responsibility and power over a GSA, but a GSA does in fact get a lot of the GSTL's responsibilities (in my store at least)...
