In my state, McDonald's start ppl off at $9.50 whereas Target start cashiers off at $8.25 and Flow $8.75. State Minimum wage is $7.25. I have thought about working PT many times at Mcdonald's.

Yes this! This one girl had her earbuds in and pushing a flat in a tight space between a row of 8 pallets on both sides, she act like she didn't want to stop so I can let her through so I step one foot on a pallet to let her by and an hour later my TL is coaching me for saftey......

If I'm not mistaken, you're gonna have to request a family card via eHR. Only YOU can use your discount card. This is grounds for termination if anyone other than you use your TM discount card. Look around in eHR for it I'm not entirely sure where it would be located as I've not been on eHR...

What everyone else said.... I can not stress enough to new hires that you MUST move with a sense of urgency to point A to point B. You need to be quick with your hands as well. Try to beat that box per minute rule (some boxes, especially the ones with all the foam and plastic, are gonna take...

Your first pay is always issued to you in the form of a paper check. You can either pick that up at guest services or the fitting room (ask a fellow TM or leader where they issue checks in your store). They'll have you sign your name by your name on the paper for verification that you picked...

My store has polos and those 5% tees stacked up in the closet in the office. Anyone who wants to purchase polos could do so by speaking to the ETL HR. 5% tees were free, as many as you wanted. I have like over 15 5% tees.

Same here. Even though I don't work for Target anymore, I still find that I spend most of my online time lurking on here...better than reading all the he say she say drama on FB....and all the questionnaires and rates...and a bunch fakes.

And if you're in a college town, hours definitely increases but not by much because they start hiring like crazy to fill up the hours instead of giving them to TMs who wants them.

Yeah, if you were certified you wouldn't need to ask those questions. Speak to your TL asap! And if you were certified and forgot don't be afraid to approach your TL to make sure you can do without even thinking of what to do next. The baler and compactor was my home...I'm gonna miss it. :(

Our unload usually takes 2hrs...averaging 2800 - 3000 five days a week. We have a fast push team mostly all females who aren't allowed to throw the truck. So I guess that's why they cut us some slack. Same ppl throwing the truck for two hrs five days a week? It gets tiring but they understand that.
