Archived What do your drive up people do between orders?

They work GS. If a drive up comes, the GSTL or lead watching the front will replace them in the transaction or go take it out themselves if they feel like it.

Archived Does your store expect cashiers to use their own smartphones when Zebras aren't available?

Nah, that is some copout bullshit. It is Targets job to foot the equipment necessary to get the work done, not mine. Fortunately, our store had allotted like 5-6 zebras and 5 walkies just for guest service TMs with labels and everything. Trying to keep the other TMs from stealing them, though.

Archived Another One Bites The Dust

I know I said I was going to quit in August, but after four and half years of working at Target, I put in my two weeks today. With all the new changes being implemented, angry and defeated TLs, and a workplace environment that has dwindled from pleasant to apathetic to outright hostile over the...

Archived Who's all staying or seeking new employment?

I have already decided to quit by August 1. Ill be finishing up two degrees by December and I don't plan to waste anymore time at Target than necessary.

    Archived Salvage

ASANTS. At my store, we typically don't allow the sale most of the time. Particularly if it has a sticker on it or is a perishable item. This isn't always the case though. Upper Leadership are NEVER on the same page about anything, and some will allow whatever Karen wants to get her out of the...

Archived TM discount for "friends and family"?

Unless they're a dependent or immediate family, that's an offense that could lead to termination, if I remember correctly.

    Archived Ethics Training .... Joke!

We don't tend to do any of the training on our store except the once-per-year food handling/safety training they make us do for the front end. So no. I'm sure it's pretty lulzy to read if the comments are any indication.

    Archived Why Do You Stay?

Because I'm in college. Target ain't bad for a college job.

To That One Guest - II

ToThe1.5MillionKarensReturningEasterShitTheyDidn'tNeed: No, if you bought this stuff using a merchandise card and cash, you must take the merchandise card back first because it is first in the system before you can get the cash you payed. Screaming about how you paid cash (usually less than 5...

To That One Guest - II

They didn't even pay attention to her behind them until she tried to fit her big ass buggy of easter groceries through the door. Haha. Then she complained how it wasn't clear where the exit was when we have a huge enter/exit set of doors.

To That One Guest - II

She like stood in front of the exit door with her bags and stared at it AND the entrance doors. Then some TMs walked by on their lunch and she followed them into TSC. Lmao.

To That One Guest - II

TTOGIJUSTHAD: You exit the store through the big door thst says exit with green arrows pointing outside. I don't know how you managed to pass both the exit snd the entrance and end up in TSC.

    Archived New Registers

I heard we're getting them, too. I certainly hope so. We get a lot of guest complaints about our current setup at my store, so getting new ones would be nice.

Archived Can an ETL force me to do cashier training?

They do in most stores. Furthermore, this dude is on inbound. He will most likely never have to actually cashier. However, everyone has to know the POS system. Cashiering is the easiest way to learn it quickly. 1-2 days of Cashier training is not going to kill him.
